Technical Details
What is Diablo 3's release date?
Blizzard has yet to announce a release date. And yes we know about the supposed leaked Product Slate...but we think it's a really bad fake.
The Gameplay
What do we know about Diablo 3's storyline?
As expected Blizzard is giving the bare minimum on where they are taking the storyline. But this is what we know: Diablo 3 begins twenty years after the world of Sanctuary has been saved in Diablo 2. During this time, merchants selling their wares to fortune seekers have rebuilt the town of Tristram. Now known as ‘New Tristram’, the town has fallen back into ruin. The Cathedral has been thoroughly plundered and the fortune seekers look for adventure elsewhere. The game begins with a meteor crashing through the Cathedral and into the catacombs below. Little is known about the meteor; it could be one of the Archangels or even Diablo himself returned from the dead. Regardless, it has stirred the ancient evil that lives in the catacombs and the call has gone out for heroes to save Sanctuary once again.
Tell me something about the Acts.
Diablo 3 will feature four acts, of which two have been revealed. Act 1 will feature New Tristram, while Act 2 will take the player through the borderlands and into Caldeum.
How many and what classes will Diablo 3 have?
There will be five classes: Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Wizard, and the Witch Doctor
The Classes
Barbarian
Demon Hunter
When describing the Demon Hunter Leonard Boyarsky (Blizzard's Senior World Designer) said, "She's the obsessed hero, the classic, lone, revenge-driven hero who's out to make the demons pay for what they did to her family and friends... Almost an anti-hero, we really want to straddle that line."

Monk
Wizard
Witch Doctor
What is the big news about corpses?
Gamers everywhere rejoiced when we heard that corpses do not disappear from the screen during or after a battle. This should greatly improve the atmosphere and immersion that the game and each individual battle provide. Once you move away from the scene of battle and you can no longer see the corpses, they will disappear.
What do we know about the Quest Log
The Quest Log is a detailed account of open and completed quests. It is narrated in your character's own voice, but does not need to be used due to on-screen objective tracking and clear vocal cues.

The Enemies
What do we know about monster AI?
Blizzard has confirmed that every monster has preferred combat behavior. They define behavior as 'how it emerges onto the battlefield and how it engages you in the moments before you send it to a bloody grave'. So far they've talked about two types of behaviors, 'Big Hit' and 'Frenzied'. 'Big Hit' monsters perform easily predicted and slow attacks that do a tremendous amount of damage. They are easy avoided but are very dangerous when space is limited. 'Frenzied' monsters enter combat phases where all of their stats are temporary boosted. They are incredibly dangerous when they are in this state, so it is better to avoid them until they've cooled down.

Vessels
From the official Diablo 3 page - "For example, when you first see the unnerving Vessels -- human cultists who've given their bodies over to demonic possession -- you'll notice that they stand numbly in place, tapping their staves on the ground and seemingly ignoring you. Yet that doesn't mean that you can ignore them. Within an indefinite amount of time, the monstrosities possessing the Vessels will tear through the flesh of their living hosts and emerge onto the battlefield, utterly consumed by rage and hell-bent on inflicting grievous harm. When encountering untransformed Vessels, it's in your best interest to kill them as fast as possible -- but trying to accomplish this can put you in the center of a melee, or take your focus off of other targets who'll savage you in the meantime. It may not seem very heroic to kill first and ask questions later, but the fate of Sanctuary is at stake - and demon-slaying is not for the faint of heart."
