Original Wing Commander could be free?

This is perfect timing! We just gave Wing Commander the award for best game of 1990 and now we hear that it might end up being free for the masses.
Paul Barnett, at EA's BioWare, has posted a series of tweets detailing his plan to get EA to release the original Wing Commander as a free download. His last tweet was "my plan is wing commander one , drm free and security bypassed. For FREE ( fingers crossed)". You can follow him at http://twitter.com/thatbarnettblok
More power to you Mr. Barnett. We have always said that a world where Wing Commander was available to all people is the type of world we want to live in.
