So BlizzCon starts tomorrow and, as usual, everyone with an official title is casting their votes for what announcements we can expect. It shouldn't be a surprise that most of these votes involve some sort of tidbit about Diablo 3. After all, Diablo 3 game director Jay Wilson did tell us, "I can say that this BlizzCon, in terms of Diablo news, will be the biggest one that we’ve ever had." That sounds very promising!

One of these characters with an official title is Colin Sebastian, an analyst employed by Lazard Capital. He's placing his street cred on the line by proudly predicting Blizzard will use BlizzCon to announce a release date of mid to late 2011.

By our calculations Mr. Sebastian is casting a fairly wild net...six months wide to be exact. Our semi-official stance is that Blizzard will not give a release date at BlizzCon, but we don't have official titles or make official title salary. So here's to you, Mr. Sebastian! May your crystal ball prove more accurate than we expect!
