Duke Nukem Forever confirmed for 2011

At PAX today, Gearbox confirmed that they have taken over development of Duke Nukem Forever and are on schedule to release it in 2011. The Wall Street Journal was able to score an interview with Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford and he had this to say, "The approach and investment and process at 3d Realms didn't quite make it and it cracked in the end. With Gearbox Software we brought all of those pieces together. It's the game it was meant to be."
